Strategy

Portrait of a girl, PakistanPlan Pakistan’s country strategic plan is dedicated to helping poor children to access their rights.

Our strategy emphasises the incorporation of children’s ideas and opinions, along with those of other key stakeholders such as families, communities, civil society organisations, government bodies and Plan field staff.

Our goals

Our strategy addresses the following country goals:

  • Protecting and promoting children’s health: improving health care of children and mothers, raising awareness among adolescents about reproductive health issues and care etc
  • Supporting community learning: improving access to quality education through our school improvement programme
  • Strengthening household livelihood security: providing small savings and loans schemes, vocational and technical skills training, informing and helping families and communities with livelihood opportunities
  • Promoting children’s rights and gender equity: raising awareness of children’s rights and helping children to participate in community development activities
  • Disaster risk reduction and response: helping communities to become more resilient in coping with hazards and mobilising communities and children to take an active role in assessing the risks in their own communities.
