Plan has been operating in India since 1979, helping disadvantaged children access their rights to education, health, economic security, protection and participation.

We offer assistance through our Child Centred Community Development approach, whereby we work with children and their communities to identify problems and implement solutions. 

Plan India focuses on marginalised communities, including farmers with small land holdings, labourers, fishermen, weavers, ethnic groups and hill tribes. We also help urban communities in difficult circumstances, including street children, children with disabilities and children orphaned by AIDS.
