Country Director, Habte Woldemariam

Habte Woldemariam, Plan Mozambique's Country Director.

Habte Woldemariam leads the Plan Mozambique team. Habte has a wealth of experience in development work, both in Plan and externally, and has built a reputation as an astute social entrepreneur and development strategist.

He holds a bachelor and masters degree in agricultural economics and a masters degree in management. Before joining Plan in 1993, Habte worked for a development agency and also with the Ethiopian government in the transformation of its agricultural sector.

Habte has been Plan’s country director in Thailand and Sri Lanka, and he was instrumental in opening a new Plan office in Pakistan. In 2006 Habte was asked to open a new Plan country office in Mozambique,

Habte has a strong commitment to helping children and communities to lead their own development process.
