Plan Liberia Country Director- Mohamed Bah

With over 20 years of experience in Plan, Mohamed Bah has occupied several managerial positions including, Programme Unit Manager, Sponsorship and Grants Manager, and Programme Support Manager in Guinea, Benin and Senegal before ascending to the post of Country Director of Liberia.

He contributed immensely to the opening of the first Plan Programme Unit in Guinea, and established the Donor Services Department– the first program in the region to start working with Community Volunteers and do community management of projects. He also helped to seek, manage and report on grants, including World Bank, USAID, EU and MFO funds.

Working across West Africa, he facilitated the integration of the different programmes in different countries, especially health, education, household economic security and microfinance, Water and Sanitation and child/youth protection and participation. He supported Plan programme team in mobilization and management of large grants including the European Union’s Water Facility and the Global Fund for Malaria, HIV and Tuberculosis.

Mohamed BAH is a Sociologist. He has also completed the Plan Certificate in Management (PCIM) course organized by Plan International and Harvard University. With a dedication to improving the lives of children in desperate situation, Mohamed BAH reaps his greatest joy when children lives are changed for the better due to Plan’s interventions in their communities.
