Country Director, John Morris

John Morris has spent the last 24 years working in the non-profit sector. After extensive experience in humanitarian relief and development work in Africa and Asia, John has spent the last 12 years concentrating on grass roots community development, focusing on child rights.

Before he joined Plan, John gained experience with several non-profit agencies working in various programme and senior management roles. He has led Plan’s management teams in Guatemala and Zambia, and in 2009 was thrilled to join Plan Kenya.

Although Kenya has many challenges, says John, the country also has a vibrant and vocal civil society committed to addressing the needs of its citizens. It is exciting to be a part of this.
