Plan Thailand received $1.3 million in tsunami funding, which was used to help Thai children and their families get back on their feet again. In addition to building a school and a childcare centre, we gave financial support to a team of mobile counsellors, who went to schools and helped children in need of psychosocial support. We also supported a team of filmmakers and photographers who trained children for a media project that allowed them to express themselves, build new skills and focus on activities beyond the recovery efforts in their communities.
