When Plan began work in Aceh, we encountered serious health problems, so among our projects, we taught children basic hygiene and coached "Little Doctors" to help make their communities cleaner and healthier.

While helping to rebuild Indonesia's communities, Plan focused on early childhood care and development. Through pre-school education and health care for women and infants, Plan aimed for wider, longer-lasting impact.
Plan has been operating in Indonesia since 1969, helping poor children to access their rights to health, sanitation, education, livelihoods and protection.
Across four countries in Asia, Plan supported more than 1 million tsunami survivors through immediate relief and long-term recovery projects.
