Sexual exploitation in West AfricaSexual exploitation and sexual violence in Africa is a pressing and serious issue. Plan's West Africa regional office has worked with the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) to produce this briefing paper on sexual exploitation in schools in Africa, with a particular focus on West Africa.

The World Health Organization estimates that 150,000,000 girls and 73,000,000 boys under the age of 18 years have experienced rape or other forms of sexual violence globally.
