Count Every Child Conference 2009

ExpertPanel03Monday 16 November 2009, London, UK

Each year, 51 million children are not registered at birth, directly affecting their rights to health, education, welfare, employment and democracy.  Plan held a unique one day conference to share the latest innovations and practice at local and national levels and explore ways in which to make universal registration a reality.

The conference, Count Every Child, convened a critical audience of government representatives, policy makers, researchers, practitioners and donors and offered the opportunity to hear from leading experts from Harvard University, UN agencies, INTERPOL and others to debate the issues and make recommendations for achieving universal birth registration.
