Flood Children of Holdibari

November 2008: Flood Children of Holdibari is a short film following a group of Bangladeshi children’s efforts to protect their community from flooding.

The film is presented by 11-year-old Shapla, who lives on a silt river island in northern Bangladesh. The islands are created as the river changes course – an increasingly frequent occurrence as floods become more extreme and less predictable with climate change.
