Emergency response in Pakistan
August 2010: Life-saving aid funded by Plan donors is reaching children hit by the Pakistan floods crisis.
Working with local government and partners, Plan teams are on the ground in the Southern Punjab and Sindh regions. So far we've provided cooked food to over 256,600 people and distributed special child nutrition packs and health and hygiene kits to thousands of families forced from their homes by the floods.
Plan is setting up tents to provide families with shelter, installing water hand pumps in the camps and working to set up community kitchens.
Psychosocial support sessions are also being run for children experiencing distress caused by the disaster.
Millions of children need urgent help now. Please support our vital work by making a donation to the Pakistan floods appeal today. Your donation will make a difference.
