A Plan Nederlands report highlighting the issues involved with measuring the effectiveness of primary school programs, as well as the successes and lessons learnt from the programs themselves. Topics include child-friendly teaching practices, community involvement and governance, and accountability.
By synthesising information from different sources we try to measure our performance and identify patterns in making a difference to the lives of children and their communities. For this purpose an educational model is presented that explains the logic behind Plan’s interventions. The model is centred around ‘Quality Schools’ and links up the three main intervention strategies of Plan Nederland: direct poverty alleviation, civil society building and lobby & advocacy.
