Throughout 2009 Plan and Nokia's partnership continued to help thousands of children in 14 countries across Africa to speak out on child rights and bring about change.
The partnership supports children, youth and communities in the use of a variety of media - radio, music videos, the internet, mobile comunications devices and television - to promote child rights and build life skills.
Download the report and read about our achievements in the Esma3oona (Hear us out!) in Egypt, Going Further in Senegal, Kids Waves in West Africa, and Youth Empowerment through Arts and Media (YETAM) in Africa projects. The partnership also supports Childline projects in Kenya and Uganda that offer free telephone helplines and services to children affected by violence or abuse.
Since 2006, Nokia's financial contributions to Plan's programmes have exceeded 6,000,000 euros.
